When we get bad news, or lose a job, or experience the death of a loved one, we need more than just nice sounds to give us peace. The only thing I have found that gives me true rest is knowing that God is in complete control over my life and nothing can happen apart from His good will. These hymns are meant to remind us of the sovereign and good God who cares for us and promises to never leave His children no matter how hard life is.
